The 100th Founder’s Day Centennial Celebration will be held on April 12-13, 2024. We invite you to celebrate the rich history of Delta Tau Delta at the University of Kentucky and reconnect with fraternity brothers both young and old.
Local fraternity Tau Delta Alpha became the Delta Epsilon Chapter of Delta Tau Delta on May 10, 1924. Thirty-four members and alumni of the local fraternity were initiated as Delts. Installation exercises were held at the Phoenix Hotel in Lexington and continued throughout the day.
Since then, thousands of young men have pledged and been initiated into Delta Epsilon. The chapter has long been a recognized leader on campus and the UK Delt alumni network is one of the most robust in the country; among its ranks are governors, congressmen, Fortune 500 CEO’s and pro sports stars.
The Delt Shelter at UK is the oldest fraternity house in the Commonwealth of Kentucky. It has stood for more than 90 years through depressions, recessions, social upheavals and global wars.
The house, located at 1410 Audubon Avenue in the Forest Park neighborhood, was renovated extensively in 2004-05 and remains a great source of pride for Delta Epsilon members and the UK community.
